About the Home Builders Association of Spartanburg, SC

Mission Statement: Homebuilding professionals providing the community affordable housing through education and legislation; protecting homeownership for today and tomorrow. |
The Home Builders Association of Greater Spartanburg chartered when a small group of builders came together with a vision to organize and better represent the housing industry on issues that affect our ability to provide affordable housing for all citizens of Spartanburg. Since 1962, our Association has served as the leading not-for-profit trade organization dedicated to residential construction and remodeling in Spartanburg.
The HBA of Greater Spartanburg maintains approximately 300 company memberships. As the voice of the housing industry, the HBA is very active politically to insure that elected leaders understand the role of housing in the economy and our role of providing shelter for all families.
Our association believes in giving back to our community. In 1999, the National Home Builders Association partnered with local HBA’s to bring more HOME BUILDERS CARE projects throughout our local communities. Since 1999, our Association has been very successful in partnering with Christmas in Action, Habitat for Humanity, St. Luke’s Medical Clinic, Chapel Street Park, Carpenters for Christ, Total Ministries, Bethlehem Center and the Spartanburg Children’s Shelter on various projects for the good of our community.
HBAGS is affiliated with the Home Builders Association of South Carolina and The National Association of Home Builders. The HBAGS represents and promotes the home building industry in order to benefit and serve its members and community.
