Affiliations
The Home Builders Association of Greater Spartanburg is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of South Carolina. These affiliations allow us to effectively serve the interests of the home building industry throughout the country. Each association focuses on specific areas of interest for the industry where they have expertise and resources. The purpose of these affiliations is to produce a strong and vibrant housing market and level playing field for our members.
National Association of Home Builders. Focuses on federal government, individual education, product resources and development. NAHB
BUILD PAC. The Political Action Committee (PAC) is the political arm of the National Association of Home Builders
Home Innovation Research Lab. The product research arm of the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Innovation Research Lab researches and promotes new innovations to improve quality and affordability of home products. Home Innovation Research Lab
National Housing Endowment. The philanthropic arm of the National Association of Home Builders that aims to develop the future of the industry through education, training, and research. Housing Endowment
Home Builders Institute. The workforce development arm of the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Builders Institute works to advance industry trades and education for those in the Home Building industry. Home Builders Institute
Green Building. Green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment.

Energy efficiency and a wise use of resources not only helps the environment but saves homeowners money. Green homes built under programs like EnergyStar, a U.S. Department of Energy program, have been proven to dramatically reduce utility bills for water and electricity.

Certified Master Builder. The Certified Master Builder Program is designed to assist homeowners in their search for builders and remodelers with a proven track record of stability, integrity and service to their buyers. Created by the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, the program’s purpose is to help home builders and remodelers build upon their professionalism, business practices, product quality and record of customer service.
