Home Builders Association of Greater Spartanburg |
Public Policy
The Home Builders Association of Greater Spartanburg monitors key legislative issues affecting the local home building industry. The association also stays abreast of state and federal legislation through its affiliations with the Home Builders Association of South Carolina and the National Association of Home Builders. We have members serving on legislative and political committees at the state and national levels. We also have members serving as elected officials.
The HBA of Greater Spartanburg understands that day-to-day involvement in public policy best represents our members and the local home building industry. We work on your behalf to influence public policy decisions. Specifically, we work to limit the impact of government regulation on our industry to protect our membership from over regulation and limit the impact of regulation on the cost of housing.
We host events that give you the opportunity to interact directly with your government officials. The HBA of SC hosts the longest running event on the S.C. General Assembly legislative calendar. It is well attended every year.
Below are some of the positions and results that we have achieved on your behalf. Please check the other pages in the Public Policy section for more information.
